You want to
be a Mason?
Well do not wait to be asked. It will never happen. As an organization we do not solicit membership. If you want to join our fraternity you must ask a Mason and from there you will be given a petition for the degrees of freemasonry.
How do I become qualified?
The qualifications to join our order are but three.
1.
You must be of age (in
2. You must profess a belief in one God (we will not tell you what faith to be but requires you to be a man of faith)
3. You must be of good report or reputation.
Masonry will take a good man and make him better however it can not take a bad man and make him good. Masonry does not require you to be perfect just that you desire to improve and that you are dedicated to becoming more and better than whom you are now.
What happens once I get a petition?
After you have filled out your petition and turned it in to the Lodge. It will be read at our next regular meeting. At that time a committee will be appointed. The committee will contact you and schedule a time to meet. They will most generally come to your house and talk to you and your wife (if you are married). This is a good time for you and your wife or any member of your family to ask any questions you may have regarding masonry.
The visitation committee will give their report to the lodge and the membership present will vote. If you are elected to receive the degrees then the lodge secretary will contact you to schedule your initiation into our fraternity.
